Ragini Kudchadkar, MD, is an assistant professor at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University. Dr. Kudchadkar attended medical school and completed a residency of internal medicine at Emory University and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Kudchadkar held positions at Moffitt Cancer Center and the College of Medicine at the University of South Florida. Her current clinical research interests focus on drug development for metastatic melanoma as well as other rare advanced cutaneous malignancies, such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, and merkel cell carcinoma. Dr. Kudchadkar’s articles have been published in a number of leading journals, including Journal of Clinical Oncology, New England Journal of Medicine, and Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Clifford Perlis, MD, is an adjunct associate clinical professor of dermatology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, a private practice Mohs surgeon in suburban Philadelphia, and an associate editor of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology. He is also the former director of dermatological surgery and former chairman of the Institutional Review Board at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Dr. Perlis attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. After completing a general surgery internship at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Perlis was a dermatology resident and fellow in Mohs surgery and cutaneous oncology at Brown University. His current research interests include cutaneous oncology, non-invasive imaging, and medical ethics.
 
1. Implement effective treatment options for advanced and metastatic basal cell carcinoma (BCC) based on efficacy data and current guidelines
2. Recognize, prevent, and manage safety issues when treating advanced or metastatic BCC, especially with prolonged treatment
3. Utilize communication and patient education strategies in order to optimize patient involvement in informed treatment decision making as well as prevention and early recognition of side effects and disease progression
4. Integrate into practice effective care coordination strategies for treating patients with BCC, including input from multidisciplinary members of the healthcare team as well as patients and caregivers
