Bio
Dr. Adriana Andrade is an Associate Professor of Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University. She received her MD degree from the University Federal de Minas Gerais, Belo Horizonte, Brazil. Dr. Andrade is formally trained in public health and holds a M.P.H. degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Hygiene and Public Health. She is also board certified in internal medicine and completed a fellowship in clinical pharmacology at the Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Andrade is a Co-Principal Investigator at the Johns Hopkins AIDS Clinical Trials Unit. Dr. Andrade has worked internationally providing training and giving lectures on drug-drug interactions with antiretroviral agents in Brazil, South Africa and India. She also participated in the development of clinical materials used to standardize delivery of care in local HIV clinics in Pretoria, South Africa. She is involved in the development of educational materials used in resource poorsettings for the management and treatment of HIV/AIDS and its complications. Her main areas of research interest involve adherence to antiretroviral therapy and drug interactions involving antiretrovirals and complementary and alternative medicine agents. Dr. Andrade is also a clinician at the Moore HIV Clinic, at the Johns Hopkins University.

Bio
Dr. Chander is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University. Her areas of expertise include pharmacologic and behavioral interventions for hazardous drinking and alcohol use disorders among HIV infected individuals. Of particular interest, her work has focused on the expansion of alcohol interventions into HIV primary care settings. She also has been PI on an NIH-funded study to reduce alcohol use among HIV infected and at risk women, a co-investigator on a randomized trial testing ondansetron for alcohol reduction among HIV infected individuals and a co-investigator on a multisite study examining the integration and implementation of alcohol pharmacotherapy into HIV care settings She has been involved in HIV and alcohol related research for since 2004. She was the recipient of a NIAAA career development award to examine the impact of psychiatric comorbidities on alcohol intervention effectiveness among HIV-infected patients. She is also an attending clinician in the Johns Hopkins HIV Clinic.
